Orlando Pulse Shooting Could it of been prevented or at least casualties minimized?

From Orlando Times..

Ok I was waiting to write this post because I know it is a sensitive nature but,  from what I am reading and all the hub bub that has come from it.  I felt it was time to stand up and speak up.  I work in Night Club/ VIP Security so I have dealt with situations first hand.  I have seen a double stabbing,  almost been in a drive by,  had guns pulled and big fights break out.     For this was a act of terrorism home grown or from abroad it was Islamic Radical Terrorism.  I am sorry you safe spacers out there who want to try and feel good about everything this is real life and guess what there are people out there who have declared war on the US and on Gay/Lesbian community.   You can keep burring your head in the sand but this is real and the threats are real.

Now I love how the gun grabbers didn’t waste a New York Minute before running for stricter gun laws, and an “assault weapons ”  ban.   I laughed because how many laws where just broken and that didn’t stop this tragedy did it?  Isn’t Murder illegal according to law?  Did that stop these 49 innocent people from being killed?  And Caring a gun in a night club is Illegal in most states..  Did that stop this individual from doing so?  There are laws on the books that make this incident Illegal in so many ways already.   But yet they stopped nothing did they?

We have become a dependent as a society it seems everyone wants free everything and no responsibility.  But when we are faced with tragedy that could of been avoided everyone wants to look to blame everyone else.   Is it the government’s, or local police fault you didn’t prepare yourself to survive?   If you want to depend on cops and first responders to save your live in an emergency guess what you might die.   No one wants to hear this but it is the reality of the situation.   It is called response time for a reason.  There aren’t enough first responders to provide everyone heck not even every block their own.    So what can we do to make some changes to help prevent these kind of things from happening?

Well first off I would say lets pull together and start a local training in basic self defense, and situation preparation.  I honestly find it funny we will all donate millions to victims on all these fun raiser pages,  but how many have ever donated to a cause to save lives before these types of situations happen?    If I told you,  if I could raise 7 million I might be able to help prevent these kind of situations would you donate to the cause?  For I have tried to start my own  extreme training in self defense and real life situations Facility.   But I am often over looked it seems no one wants to spend a dollar to prevent tragedy it is so much easier to become a victim.    I haven’t seen one self defense class come about from this incident that could help teach people how to survive in this uncertain world we live in.   Yet I have found 100 fund raisers for the victims, and a bunch of 2nd amendment hatters taking to the airwaves.

So why don’t we want to train our minds to think and react to survive in this dangerous world we live in?   Is it because we all walk around thinking it won’t ever happen to me?  Is it we are just to lazy to stand up for ourselves?  Or is it we would rather blame anyone else than ourselves for the situations we find ourselves in.  There is a thing called reaction time,  everyone who has ever been in a life or death situation understand this.  It may be how quick a Ambulance comes to save a heart attack, or how fast a fire truck gets to the fire, or how quick you respond to a threat.   The god honest truth is reaction time is crucial in all situations.   If you look at the average response time for when police are called to a life or death situation average is around 11-15 minutes more in bigger cities due to traffic.   Now lets play devils advocate here..  You have a man with a gun shooting up a crowded public venue ..   Do you have 11-15 minutes to stall him from killing everyone?   Sure you can pay dead and hope.. Like some did in this instance..

So I suggest all women and I have talked with many who are so oblivious to the world around them..   Why aren’t you caring pepper spray in your purse?  I would strongly suggest fox 5.3 look at my previous articles..  One woman with a can of Fox 5.3 in that club could of saved everyone..  One man with a can of spray or a licensed CCW Carrier could of met force with force..   Or a properly trained individual could of used what was at hand to take down the shooter.  You know a bar is full of weapons and the average everyday Joe never thinks of.  Bar stools, Beer bottles, Glasses,  pool balls,  Straws, ink Pens ( most deadly weapon when in the hands of a trained person) ,  anything that can be thrown is a weapon and anything that can quickly be modified is a deadly weapon..  Did anyone have a pocket Knife on them?   I don’t know these answers….

I want you to think next time your out in public look around you think about what if,   it could be at the mall, restaurant, ball park, movie theater,  at your desk while at work.   What would you do if you should happen to come into a situation where someone comes in and wants to do harm to you..  What will you do?  Run and hide and call 911 or strategically place yourself in a position to survive..    This is a dangerous world we live in,  and I don’t have all the answers.  But Chance favors the prepared mind..  One of my favorite movie quotes from Under Siege 2.    So are you going to become prepared or are you going to be another one of those helpless victims who is remembered in the after math of it all.

While laws only stop the law abiding citizens,  you can never stop the criminals for that is what makes them criminals after all.   I hope after reading this you will go sign up for a entry level self defense class you don’t have to make a Black belt in 3 different forms of discipline such as Karate or Krav Maga to be prepared to survive.   I would love to see communities come together and form classes for our youths as well for they are always vulnerable and there is no knowledge that isn’t power…    And I would strongly suggest if you have never fired a gun..  Try to find a store, or a friend to take you out and teach you the basics.  You never know when you might have to pick one up out of a criminals hands and defend your life and those around you.

Life is unpredictable, and with the new class of terrorist and radical  Muslim/ Islamic terrorists  who want nothing more than to kill everyone who doesn’t believe what they believe or lives their life not by their book of hate.    It is scary…  To think one group could start world war 3..

In closing I want to make it clear I am not a racist, or a race hatter.   All Lives Matter in my book.   I love all people equally and think that we all have a right to live freely and warship, love, and live how we see fit that is what this great country was founded on.   And there are some people out there who want to take away our liberties, freedoms and   way of life to conform to how others think we should live.   Lets stand up and be Proud to Be American again,  and not let some people or special interest groups take it away from us..   Now is the time to make a stand against the evil that lurks in the heart of many…  God Bless Everyone..   And my heart goes out to all that have fallen victim to the tragedies around the globe,  Paris, Orland, Bangladesh just happened as I was writing this.

Please take a moment of silence for the fallen..  You may be gone but you will never be forgotten..

I am an Ex Army vet who served in the National Guard for 12 years. I have worked closely with some amazing security professionals, in a vast array of different work environments and scenarios. I am also a NRA Certified instructor, and proficient in fire arms, and self defense. On top of that I am well experienced in the technical world as well. I live my life by the motto " There is no knowledge that isn't power" and try to learn all I can. As well I feel that knowledge is only good if you pass it along to others so they can benefit from your experiences.

No, weapon control in the United States is an aggregate disappointment with regards to dynamic shooter occasions, and murder all in all, don’t bother Terrorist assaults like what happened in Orlando.
